Location: Earth·SolarSystem·LocalInterstellarCloud·Local Bub | ... A few years ago, I was in Indonesia working for a few weeks. For that time, I dropped my(?) dog "Breeze" with my parents in Ohio...
The day I returned to the Pittsburgh Airport, The MidLantic was getting one of the biggest snows on record. I had to wait a day or two for the roads to be cleared before driving home to Virginia.
I returned home just two hours after the road on which I live was plowed, BUT my 1/4 mile driveway was not. I was driving a Jeep at the time and in order get the vehicle clear of the road, I "gunned" the Wrangler into the 36 inches of snow covering my driveway apron. I got just a bit more than the length of the Jeep into the drive before getting stuck.
Breeze was going nuts, so excited to be home, so I let her out of the Jeep through the driver-side window....
She's nearly all white... and after jumping out of the window she COMPLETELY disappeared in the snow. After a moment or two she resurfaced with this "WTF" look on her face...
... I had to SnowShoe back and forth to my car for the next two weeks. |
