Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | Well, the time has come everyone! The 2014 OFC Calendar draws nearer to going to press every day. Of course, in order to send it along, I need to know how many to order. So here's the deal:
The cost for the calendars in the continental United States will be $17.50. This includes the calendar, shipping fees, and Paypal fees with the exception regarding international shipping detailed immediately below.
I know many of our overseas members have inquired about shipping, but I can only provide a ballpark figure based on the U.S. Postal Service website. I can estimate the size and weight of course, but beyond that it is pure guesswork. From what I can tell, shipping to Europe and Australia will run about $12 extra to send it via First Class mail. (I know, I know! The shipping costs are nearly as much as the calendar! But there is little I can do about it.) Of course I can try to combine orders and ship for those who can easily get them around to each other. So when you order, please be sure to remind me if you are overseas so I can budget everything accordingly. There is one question I can answer before anyone asks: YES! You will receive these in plenty of time to give as Christmas presents.
This is important! The spreadsheet I use to track everything is sorted by your OFC user name. Please be certain to include it however you contact me so I can keep records straight. This is especially important if you communicate via email.
Payments can be made via Paypal to:
ofc-calendar@patchworkmcg.com
I would prefer not to post my address on an open internet forum. So if you prefer to send a check or money order, please contact me via email and let me know. Email is best; as last year I could not empty my PM box fast enough to keep up with the orders. Again, use ofc-calendar@patchworkmcg.com.
Be certain of course to include your shipping address when you order.
The deadline for payment is Monday, September 30 2013. If you have a '13 Calendar (preferably an OFC Calendar of course), be sure to make a note on it.
Remember, I cannot order the calendars unless enough people pay for one. I need a minimum of 50 bought and paid for to place the order, so please do not wait if you don't have to.
As I stated before, if there are any left-over funds, they will be donated to the OFC. As far as the calendar itself goes, I like the results so far. Hopefully all of you will too.

Everyone who's posted an order here, and a few others as well, are squared away.
We still need MANY more orders to make this fly everyone. Keep them coming in OK? |

I can probably pack both together, so just add a bit to the international shipping fee to cover the extra weight.
Arumako, shipping to an APO should be no problem.
Keep'em coming everyone. |

Unless you want the same calendar everyone else has?
These make incredible gifts!
Get one for your buddy that plays a Taylor and see what they give you next year!
Get one for your Spouse and put a bunch of sticky notes in it showing potential Birthday or Father's Day gifts!
Get a bunch and list them on Ebay as rare, vintage, classic guitar memorabilia!
Just get one! |

Time to sound a bit of an alarm though.
I admit I didn't think I would have to push as hard as last year. It was my first calendar after all and hence a bit of a gamble on everyone's part. But it turned out to be fairly popular with those who bought one and we eventually moved about 100 copies. So I honestly thought getting sales of this one would not be as difficult.
But things are moving very slowly I'm afraid. Just like last year, I need at least 50 ordered to get a decent price. As of this morning (9/10/2013---I had to look at the 2013 OFC calendar for the date.), exactly 15 calendars have been paid for. I submit proofs in less than two weeks and hopefully printing will begin in early October. (That depends just a bit on the projects already in the pipeline at the press.)
So if you plan on ordering these, please do so ASAP. For less than $20, you will receive a product that could easily cost twice as much without complaints the week before Christmas. (HINT, HINT: These make nice little gifts. Affordable, unusual, useful, and most importantly; very easy to wrap!)
Let's keep this project alive for years to come. Get your orders in soon.....please. |

Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | Time for another friendly nudge. I'm hoping to submit the first draft for edits and proofing this afternoon, but we still do not have enough ordered to actually go to print.
Something to consider, I place the final order based upon the number of calendars already paid for. Of course I realize other orders will show up after that, but I can only guess as to how many extra to order, or I run a real risk of going over-budget and getting stuck with the difference. The consequence of this last year was that, even though we eventually ended in the black, it was not until the day before I had to make the final payment. And we only got there by 2 digits. In other words, I guessed right, but it was REALLY, REALLY close.
The other consequence was that a surprising number of members ordered too late. The calendars were gone and there was no way to afford a second printing.
So if at all possible, please order sooner, rather than later.
FWIW, the calendar is not a simple carry-over from last year's. It has many of the same elements to be certain, but it also incorporates suggestions I received about the last one and a new aesthetic/theme. I think anyone who buys one will be pleased with money well-spent. |

| Hi Patch
Just order 3 Calendars. One for me, one for my guitar collecting buddy (who has an Ovation Patriot), and one for my daughter who has my old 1657-7 Legend.
Now I need to take some pics of two new O's, my 1755 12 string Custom Balladeer and Adamas W597 to post.
Thanks for putting the calendar together! |

Ah Jimmer! The 1755 is my sentimental favorite. I've owned mine since the 80's, and it was my first "real" guitar. IMHO, it's easily one of the best all-around 12-strings ever built!
And thanks everyone so far. Everyone up to this post is squared away.
I received the initial proofs recently and will be submitting the first revision this weekend. Depending on what they see, it may or may not need further revisions. In about a week or so, they will provide further proofs which I will spend some quality time reviewing and editing if necessary.
So progress is being made. Let's keep the orders coming in! |

Arumako, I responded to your email and set your order aside. Get back to me about the best way to ship that many calendars.
And that brings us to our latest and greatest update:
We finally hit 50 orders last night, so everything is officially green-lighted. The calendars will be printed and shipped.
HOWEVER! We still have plenty of room for more orders. The final order will have to be placed in about two weeks, so get your name in the hat if you want to be counted this year. |

Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | Time for another update:
The calendar is ready to go to press, and I have inquired with the printer as to when they can best fit it into their schedule. (Remember, we are a very small order compared to what they normally distribute, so they kind of try to squeeze us in between bigger orders. But my contact's boss really likes the OFC Calendar, so he insisted on doing the job in-house instead of contracting it out like most smaller orders. I've always taken that as a compliment. )
I also wanted to share what my contact said to me in yesterday's email after reviewing the latest, AKA the 4th, revision.....and I quote.....or rather, copy-paste: "I like this calendar better than last year." I also want to remind the membership here that there are still copies available, but I expect them to dry up quickly once I set the ordering deadline.....which will likely be very soon. Order away people!

The final revision of the calendar has been submitted and approved for printing. I am awaiting a response from the printer regarding their schedule and when they need a final order number. That means a deadline for orders will be coming soon.
VERY SOON!
Just like last year, once the calendars are all shipped, there will be no others. Several members missed out last year, and I would hate to send out similar responses this year.
So if you want a 2014 Calendar, please order soon!!!! |

The calendar will go to press on the 15th of October. That's right; one week from today!
This means the deadline for orders is officially Sunday night at midnight. Again, orders for the 2014 Ovation Fan Club Calendar must be placed no later than:
Sunday, October 13th.
Be sure to spread the word.......
This oughta be interesting..... |

The order has been placed. Now I fully realize that no one here ever decides to try and order after the deadline.... , but just in case, I did order a few extras. However, supplies are officially limited to the number ordered. I will not order more copies as it would be cost-prohibitive. So what quantities are left will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.
I will try to keep you all updated of course.
Many, MANY thanks to all who contributed and to all who have purchased copies! Here's hoping when they show up that each and every one of you is pleased! |

I would dearly love to buy a calendar so I can have some of my guitars at work.
