Probably not everyone's cup of tea but it is a fun band that I enjoy performing with.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Afcu49wT7rI The individual songs are also available for listening and viewing.
This was filmed using a ZOOM Q4HD.
Hope some you enjoy this.

Down here a bongathon would be a pretty chilled out affair with a heavy police presence... |

Down here a bongathon would be a pretty chilled out affair with a heavy police presence... yes...BobG is correct. For the first 29 years it was a somewhat secret affair with only those "in the know" who knew the location.... so word of mouth, friend of friend, etc. At it's peak it would be a gathering of 5000-7000 people...so a fairly large gathering. Over the last 10 years or so, things quited down a bit and addendance was more in the 1000 or less range. This was the brief history I was told by one of the people who hired us to play and had been associated with the "gathering" for about the last 20 years or so. Anyway, since legalization in 2013, the event was advertised a bit more openly (on Facebook, local head shops, magazines, etc) and the promoters had no clue as to what type of crowd to expect. It was a two day event plus Friday night festivities but all the main events were held on Saturday and Sunday.
We performed opening night on the main stage and I would guess that there were maybe 750-1000 people at that time. I had a gig the next day so left shortly after our set was done so did not see the event in all of its smoking glory. A friend of mine stayed the whole weekend and said he guessed that their were at least 2000-3000 people, maybe more. |

25000 for a few hours is just an excuse to gather and party.
Camping for 3 days in the middle of nowhere is a lifestyle.
