I have a ovation model 1769sa-adII that was purchased in 09 it is #6 of 50 that was hand signed by al , has been in case has been played very little. I was wondering if this guitar is a special model that is better or worse than the regular 1769-ad. I can find little info. on this matter.

Since nobody who knows the answer will respond... I'll just guess.
I think that your guitar is special because it is actually Signed by Al DiMeola.
Otherwise it may just be an ADII... with a siggy.
I know that MF and GC are selling regular new ADII's so there must be a bunch of them.
But if yours is 6/50, that makes it rare-er.
Photos would help.

You did come to the right place.
But it is summer-time, so many are not at their computers.
Hopefully a more knowledgeable person will come along.

I would imagine it's the same guitar. I have the older 1769AD with the Optima preamp. It was hand signed too, but I actually handed him the guitar!
