I was looking at the Model chart....and it says this 6868 Standard Elite is a SHALLOW bowl....other places I have read says it is a SUPER SHALLOW bowl....which is it because I need to order a case for it.

Thanks for the help

Congrats. I've had one (CS247 mid-depth bowl Nutmeg Quilted finish). Nice guitar. Sold it. Regret it.....

I am in love...I can't believe I am in posession of a real CS257 in Teal. The guitar was in need of some real TLC but after 2 hours of a good clean up and polishing, the tuners were especially tarnished....and frets were dark. Steel wool does wonders...to a tarnished and dull fret board. Lemon oiled all the wood...just soaked it up...seemed very dry...polished the Teal to blue spruce top...not a dent or a scratch anywhere...does have a well used pick scratched area but nothing that broke through the finish. Put on a brand new set of DR coated strihgs....and WOW....amazing! I CAN'T PUT IT DOWN! I still can't believe I picked it up for $250....what a find! I'll post some pics soon!

I bested my find above...I just scored a CS257 Celebrity Deluxe in CherryBurst with case, (Original O case) for $169.00! I can't believe it! It's in such good shape, almost mint, the frets look like brand new, and the gold tuners shine like a mirror. What a find!!!! (If you are patient they will find you!)
Amazing!

Great find an price on the CS 257! I bought one in natural finish a while back, at a pawn shop of all places... saw the ad on Craigs List for $250, offered them $200 after looking at it, and they said yes! It is in perfect condition, just slight fret wear, with the original Ovation case. Love the sound and tone.

A while back ago I began a hunt for a CS257 in Blue Transparent. My first one was a CC44, (it had electrical problems and I had to return it). My second purchase as a 6868, a real Made in America O...but sadly it didn't work at all. The pre-amp was completely dead in the water, and the bridge pull was the worst I had ever seen on an older instrument, so I returned it as well. (Sad because I am sure in its day it would been a real gem to own) Then I found this sweet CS257 in Dallas Texas, again at a GC. They said it was blue, but it also looked green...in my mind I thought...we it must be a Greenburst so I guess I will get used to it. To my surprise this is what arrived....

Hope you enjoy...(I hope this worked out this is the first time I have ever tried to include pics)

Please correct me if I am wrong, because I tried to match this to some other posts asking what color theirs was...some of you posted CADILLAC GREENBURST....honestly (no joking aside because I know some of you labeled this as BLEEN, cute very cute, or ALGAE) is this color actually called CADILLAC GREENBURST? If yes it is a rare color?

Thanks you to all the veteran know how!
Regardless whether you answer or not....I get compliments all the time of how great it sounds, and how much they love this unusual color!
