| To help celebrate Guild's 60th year of producing great guitars, you and a guest are invited to register for an event in New Hartford, Connecticut on Friday, 20-September-2013. This is hosted by the key movers and shakers that comprise today's (US) Guild staff.
Let's Meet Guild is truly a deep dive into the business of building, marketing, selling, and celebrating Guild guitars. The day begins with a guided shop tour where you'll meet the people who build modern Guilds. In years past, some of us have even helped bind a guitar or two! Later, we go offsite and have a roundtable with Guild's top management. Several concerts are being planned, as is an open-mic activity. Also, this year will have a complete petting zoo of the entire Guild line, including US-built Traditional and Standard Series, recently introduced Guild Custom Shop models, the entire MIK Newark Street line, MIM ARCOS line, and the recently revamped MIC GAD line. If it's a Guild, it'll be there. Oh, and of course lunch and dinner are included!
Many of you know me as a fan of Guild Guitars. This fantastic event is actually the fourth annual homecoming that we Guildphiles have made in New Hartford. Before us, Ovation and Hamer fans used to visit the facility annually and that set the tone for where we are today. I'm truly excited to be able to extend this opportunity to Guild lovers everywhere to come join the company (and like-minded fans) for this very special event. See you on the 20th!
For registration information, please send email to Guild Guitars: guildevents@outlook.com |

| I really hope that OFC/HFC folks with some affinity for Guilds will choose to take part in this celebration. It's really the OFC/HFC gatherings from years past that set the table for these Let's Meet Guild events.
I still haven't been able to find a Guild owner with a trebuchet, but I sure wish I could! |

Location: Canada | This sounds like an exciting event and I have always had great admiration for guilds, though tyhey have been out of my affordable range. I think I have enough skymiles for the trip, but would need to stay 7 days ... what to do & where to stay? Maybe would bring my guitar in for an overhaul too. |

| Hey, Steve!!! Greetings!
Well, IMO, dwelling on the past is part of what sets the context of passion here, both for Guild and Ovation/Hamer folks. I, for one, have cherished -- and occasionally been a bit amused or upset -- by the many conversations about the past that we've had on LTG about Guild history over the years. I'm sure you guys feel exactly the same way over here on OFC.
Did I mention that Guild has had 60 years of continuous business!? That is if you're willing to count the years since they left Westerly, RI...
Anyway, the scope of Let's Meet Guild IV will surely make this an exciting event for everyone, and I hope you can make it. |
