I have tried to use a 12-string Kyser on my 6756LX and I am not able to get a clear tone out of the low E's at any fret. This is annoying. Do you have any recommendations on what capo works well on 12-string Os?

How are the G7ths?

I have a G7 for my 12 string and a G7 for my 6 strings. Both work just fine. I haven't tried any other brands on my 12 string.

I had a G7 and absolutely HATED it, but I couldn't tell you why. I just didn't like it.

I also hate the Kyser / Dunlop clothes pegs coz it screws with the intonation.

Shubbs have been my go to capos and I recently bought a 12 string version for my Folklore.

BUT.... now I've got a few Shubbs for sale as I've discovered THESE...

It's the Planet Waves NS capo. (NOT the NS Lite!)

Best capo I've ever used.

I use an elliot capo that is stellar but expensive.

Shubbs are also good for the money. Never tried a PW but they usually make pretty good stuff.

For my old pacemaker 12 - long time ago on the road. - I occasionally had trouble with Kyzers...but - I would buy two small ones and use both - one up one down....that's if I had to play notes in the pit - and if the notes mattered...more strumming, and on my old....shhhhh Kotke Taylor 12, a Shubb usually did the trick...my guess is the PW is just fine.....use the Kyzer and only place it ADGBE.....just play in drop D.

The normal shubb works on Pacemaker. I have not tried the extra long one for 12 strings, because the standard one works well for me. You just have to be sure to catch all the strings especially the outside two

I think I will wait for a good sale and just buy a few different ones and try them out. In the meantime, I think the Kyser looks too straight - has anyone ever bent one of those things?
