| Hey guys,
I'm having a problem with the low E tuning peg on my 1863 classical guitar. The tuning peg would lock up just last of being tuned to standard pitch. I didn't try to turn it past that point but the button snapped under the pressure.
I took it to a guitar shop and the repairman was able to reassemble the one gear and found a matching button. Unfortunately, when I restrung it the same issue came back but this time the whole peg popped out.
Should I replace the whole machine head with a new set of Schaller tuners or could this one peg be fixed?
Here are some pictures
