I've been a Remler fan since "Firefly" (1981). She did some very useful and accessible instructional vids too. But I never knew that Emily played an Ovation! ('84 Collectors, I believe...)

Eternal Memory ER!! (she died of heart failure at 32)

A few other clips from the same session:
Magestic Dance (Metheny-esqe)
Blues for Herb (hard-bop blues)

Agreed. She got turned onto Ovations by Larry Coryall (sp?). They did an album together that was really good. I gotta go dig that one out......

Larry really championed her career. He's a good guy. And sober these days.
