Location: Jet City | Date: Saturday, August 10th Time: Just be there Place: Bellevue, WA (a block from downtown.. shopping, restaraunts, hotels, etc). Bellevue is located 10 minutes East of Downtown Seattle. There will be a few non-OFC Ovation fans (technically challenged folk that don't understand internet forums) attending as well as a few other musicians. Hopefully we'll have drummers, bassists, keyboardists etc joining in on the fun too. Last time was a blast. If you missed it, well.... YSBT. Don't let it happen again! There will be all sorts of wood-topped and composite topped, both round and contour, and in every depth to come try out. This time the house isn't so newly moved into. Aside from the 'man-cavern' and outdoor area downstairs, we now have the deck 'decked out'. It's an inviting and casual jammin' atmosphere with a fire pit, comfy chairs, and a garden. Will follow up with more details as they materialize.

We managed to get him out here in I believe 2007 for the one at my house. I guess we'll have to see what the big guy himself has to say on the subject. |

Location: Jet City | UPDATE: The corn hat was 2 feet in the previous pic is now soaring to heights of 8'+. I counted no less than 14 ears, so we're excited about the corn. Yellow squash, zucchini, walla walla onions, and green peppers are already puttin food on our plate, tomatoes are ripening, there are jalapenos, anaheims, and various other peppers are comin out everywhere, green beans are almost ready, and everything else is coming up VERY nicely (except the cantelope). Chasen Chantz and his Red Flame 1778T will be there, some that were there last time may remember Jay from Hand Shaved Noodles. Bassist extraoridnaire Lino Alimboyao will be attending, as will Max Campbell to help with some rythmic beats. I'm working on a friend who plays sax, and a few more non-OFC folks as well. Linda Lee who was there last year should be back as well, and so will Derrick "Buddah" Olds wih his B768 A/E Ovation Bass. There will be ample space to setup a tent if needed, and and there are several lounge/reclining chairs if if sleeping under the satrs is your thing (assuming we'll have clear skies). |

It really doesn't rain All the Time in the Pacific Northwest...
We just say that to keep people away.
All of us transplants came here to get away from something... like too many people.
So we ain't trying to get more people to come here.
It doesn't even rain that much... We ain't even in the Top 15 Wettest cities.
Although it does rain pretty frequently.
But we appreciate it so much more when it is Sunny... Like NOW!

It's nice down in the mancave with the guitars, but the downsize talk makes me worry that I'm going to lose my space. A daylight basement like Damon's would be great, but there aren't many of those around here. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | We get about 12 inches of precip a year, including snow. What they call rain here is what they call sprinkles or drizzle back East. In 35 years I've only seen it rain hard a couple of times here. People who grew up here haven't experienced a downpour. Portland or Seattle probably have a few more thunderstorms, but it is true their moisture generally comes from extended drizzles. |

What they DON'T say is that on most of those 135 days it's clear and sunny until 4 in the afternoon, when it rains for about an hour, then clears right back up. |

There weren't as many of us as was planned, but hey... FUN.
Unfortunately, I brought a camera... But I ain't a "camera person".
So there aren't many photos.
But Woody brought some guitars. (these ain't all of them)
And Damon has a bunch of guitars...
I brought the Sweet T... (no pics)
Oh, and we had a fire.
Woody played guitar too...
Also, Hand-Shaved Noodles played cuz they were practicing for the County Fair gig.
So it was all fun. And I am glad to actually meet folks in Real Life.
Anyway... I really wish that I had taken more photos.
