The guitar in my avatar is gone now. My custom hand made OM arrived a few weeks ago courtesy of dwgpreacher hooking me up with a Denver area luthier who builds incredible guitars. It was designed and setup as a fingerstyle guitar and was patterned after the original Martin Lawrence Juber signature model, the very first ones with maple back and sides. The cedar top O was a disappointment from the beginning by arriving with a crack in the top that occurred in shipment. I checked out a 1537 currently on eBay to fill the missing O spot but the description sounds like it might be a little too far over the hill with damages. I WILL find one though. An interesting thing happened when the guy came to buy it. He told me he also played ukelele and after I got a concert of CSN&Y fingerpicking on my O he went out to his car and brought in the uke. I had no interest in listening to him play it, none whatsoever. Man would I have missed out if I had passed on it. I enjoyed a concert of incredible music I never knew could be played on those little things. I'll still never aspire to own/play one, but that guy ENTERTAINED me to the max on his. You get exponentially happier the longer you listen to a uke being expertly played! I won't rest now til I have a 1537.
