For some reason, I'm getting the jones for an old Thunderhead. I wish someone around here had one I could play around with for a few days. That would either cure me, or cause me to search in earnest to find one to buy.
I know opinions vary on these guitars. Some people say that aren't really that great, others say they compare with an Epiphone hollowbody, some say they're very unique.
What is the feeling from those who own them.....Do you play them a lot, or use them specifically for a certain type of sound or style? Or do they hang on the wall or sit in a closet, making you wonder why you ever bought them?

I was all about ready to answer with "Ibanez makes a case to fit them", but then you threw me off.

I found the Thunderhead a bit weird when it came to the electronics configuration. I mean, it actually came with a 'menu' on how to coax sounds out of it. I prefer straight forward elctronics, so that's why I went with the Tornado and haven't looked back since.

Yeah, I saw the instruction sheet for the T-Bird. Sounded cool, but I could see where it might be a PIA. Maybe a good studio guitar tho?

The eclipse and tornado are both standard... vol vol, tone tone... pickup switch.
