I love the sound of a good mic on an acoustic guitar, but don't like the hassle associated with it (e.g., low gain before feedback, being "anchored" to the mic, etc.). I'm curious about this; I love the concept, and have heard it on a couple of videos that sounded really good. Just wondering if anybody owns one or has heard it played live, and what you thought of it.

I own the Baggs Anthem and really like how it sound in my Collings. I would think the Lyric would be somewhat similar.

I haven't used the Baggs, but I have used an internal mic and piezo together. The Alvarez 600T MKII system can add a mic and you can blend the amout of each input to your liking.

I really liked the preamp, but the guitar it was tied to played like ****
