Here's the '77 1616-4 I picked up as a quitting smoking reward. Just a nice, basic nylon string spruce top. I paid $455 but when it arrived I noted a barely visible lacquer crack. I offered to have it repaired and told the seller it would be about $150. He kindly credited me for $255.

Ovation had it ready Good Friday. The minor crack was completely removed... minor repair only because this guitar had never really been played, the classic case queen just waiting to be rediscovered. Other than a couple cracks in the rosette it's completely dead mint. They also tightened up the can which was a bit loose. Also my first attempt posting pics here goes.....Happy Easter to all.

Nice. Do you play classical? I'm curious how an O classical plays. I've never seen one in person. Also, I wonder how an O that's rarely been played ended up with a crack in the rosette.

Not a classical player Meredith but I'd like to get better at it. I played a guys nylon string a few months ago and it inspired me to get this one.

GWB we can start with that door and then get to the rest of the building, all 10,000 sq ft of it. Or I could call my brother in law and let him do it...

If that garage door was a guitar you'd get thousands for it.
