Hi,

I was just wondering how difficult it would be to convert a left /h to a right/h.

The nut would have to be changed - that wouldn't be hard.
The bridge, modified or changed?
Pickguard? perhaps just add the rh one.

I'd like to know of your experience or opinions.
Thanks so much
Steve

It depends on the bridge. What model are you talking about, and does it have an original Ovation pickup? If so, it's pretty easy. Might need a fret job too if the frets have wear to them.

It's a 1115-1 12 string, doesn't have a pickup.

Would it be possible to add a pickup too, I have one from a damaged ovation.

Thanks for your time.

Jay, because of the angle on the acoustic only bridge, this will be a hard one to switch over. The intonation would most likely be way off. Also, the Pacemaker has "Fan" Bracing I believe which is ALMOST symmetrical, but not quite:

This bracing has a slight variable as you can see (not a mirror image). It would be upside down if you flipped the strings and could produce unfavorable tonal qualities

Thanks for your diagram and time Damon,

Asymmetrical bracing. Well, doesn't that just tear it...

Cheers
