| Hey everyone! Yes, I'm a noob... and not just to ovation guitars as you will soon find out. I recently acquired an Ovation 1612 (1980 deluxe balladeer?) and the wiring has been cut inside... I have all the pieces though I am not sure how they all connect. I am hoping I could get some info.
I understand that the piezo from under the bridge connects via the 1/8th inch jack into the preamp... but the rest of the wiring has me a bit confused. The output jack has 2 wires (a red and a black) and I believe one of these must go to the battery... o man.
so i guess a simple diagram would be great. I have an output jack, a battery holder and a preamp. The preamp has the 1/8" jack for the pickup, but also has two other sets of wires. How does it all fit together?
I am going to try attaching pics... lol. I have detached the guts from the body of the guitar for an easy view. please help me!
