Just purchased a UTE and it will be shipped to me soon. But, it does not have a case. The guitar shop that checked it out will order me a case to put it in prior to shipping it to me. Is there a particular case I should order, or are any of the Ovation cases good enough for the guitar to be shipped to me in?

I am sure the hard shell cases are the best bet, but wanted to ask anyway.

There are two suitable hard cases for deep/medium bowls. Get the more luxurious one, it has a softer handle (your hand will thank you) and is nicer. The other one will offer the same protection

The number for the deluxe case is TKL 9158:

Tried it - the regular 9158 doesn't fit the twelve frets to the body. There must have been a special case for the UTE, but I don't have it here to check.

Okay, checked another 9158, this one DOES fit. Answer: That's foam, where the neck lies on, and can be formed to fit.
