Location: Abilene, Texas | Does anyone know of a source for a replacement string nut for an Ultra Bass? I have a UB1K that the previous owner put large diameter tapewound strings on it and it widened the groves in the nut. With regular strings, it buzzes terribly when playing an open string. Everything that I've found so far is either too wide, too narrow, or the string spacing is off. |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | I don't have any left. As Damon stated, take the measurements of the current one and head off to Stew Mac and get what you need based on size. You could also invest in your own tools. Filing a nut for a bass is not that difficult and while the original is worn, you have it as a guide for spacing. |
