| This would become the most expensive guitar I've ever purchased. What are your thoughts?
Would this be money well spent?

Thank you in advance for your input.

That is a very nice guitar with an OP-Pro Studio...
You do realize that Al has a whole bunch of Adami for maybe less than $5K.
(if you are already shopping with Al... disregard this comment )

That is an excellent and prescient question.
Bottom line, though, is that I want talked out of it if there is a better guitar (a Kaki King, for example) that would serve me just as well or better.
But I also want to know from all of you with your finger on the pulse of Ovation what you think of this current crop of USA made guitars.
My sense is that you think the purchase would be a wise one, and I appreciate your valued opinion. |

That's pretty much the most very awesomest Adamas II available. I's the updated contour bowl and electronics on what is my personal favorite (sounding) guitar that I own, the 1581.
FYI, if you want to go deep bowl and 2 knobs, Al has a 1581 reissue (same as mine) for quite a bargain.... if he still has any.

| I bought a 1581 Adamas II a few months ago and I'm loving it. Playability, tone, volume, construction all top-notch. A guitar to last me a lifetime.
The 2081 looks similar in design with a few obvious differences (modern preamp, soundholes on one side only).
