While changing the strings on my 1537 Elite I discovered that the nut is no longer affixed to the guitar. It was just sitting in the groove and fell off when the strings were removed. I was able to restring the guitar without incident but would like to fasten the nut back on next time i restring. What kind of adhesive is recommended for this procedure? Any info will be appreciated.

Just a dot of white glue is fine. All you want to do is keep it from falling off when changing strings. If the nut ever has to be removed there will be less chance of damage in removing it.

On a couple of mine the nut was never glued in. As long as you re-string it from the outside in, or vice versa, it's not a problem.

Put on string 6, followed by 1, then 5, then 2, then 4, then 3. Or the other way around. That way the nut is pulled to the centre. If you go 6,5,4,3 you'll find the nut is half way out of the slot and will be reluctant to move back.
