Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | OK, so one of my projects, about 3 years ago, was the rebuild of a Matrix 6-string, with a missing head. I was successful, producing a emimently serviceable, deepbowl acoustic boomer, and gave it to one of our clinic clients, who is a devoted busker in the community. As the images reveal, it WAS used- long, deep & continuous. So, this street musician seeks me out, and asks if I can repair the critter. Sight unseen, I say, "Sure, bring it in."
As the pictures speak for themselves, I will say it has taken right at a month to reconstruct this old warrior.
I will be delivering it after New Years, and I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated.
To be sure, the rebuild is a bit more stout than the original!
So, we begin with Igor The First:
Next, the realities of streetcorner serenades:
And, after the administration of BFLG powers, charms, incantations & tranfiguration- Huzzah! Igor The Second:

I sawed new slots in the aluminum neck, and installed new wires in the first 4 frets. And they say it couldn't be done........... | |
