Hi
I am new to the forum but excited to be here. I have never owned an ovation guitar but played a 1763 today and liked the sound. The guitar i played was for sale and i am trying to decide if i should buy it . But i know nothing about it. Can someone please share opinions on it, is it considered a good choice in the Ovation community, so to speak? Also could someone tell me hot to figure out ehen the guitar was made? Its serial number seems to be 439801.
Thanks!
Mike

Hi Mike...
By the Serial Number it was made in '91 or '92.
I don't know about how desirable it is... It is a Nylon string guitar, so I am clueless.
Quick research on eBay showed me three that have been sold recently priced from about $600-$800.
Value is always subjective and depends on condition and how bad you want it.

Someone with more knowledge may be along eventually.

Thank you Arthur! I saw some sold for 500 and even 400 on the net. But i guess this guitar in great condition should be worth the 600-800 range. If anyone else knows much about it, id appreciate if you shared. Thanks. Mike
