I just returned from Raleigh, NC with my baby, a Custom Legend 1619.  The electronics were not working properly.  I feared I would need to replace parts, but it turns out all it needed was tightening of the volume/tone knob.  It works perfectly now.  Total cost: $15, plus travel to Raleigh.  Not bad.
