Hello,

I'm new on the forum, I own a Ovation Magnum1 from 1974/1979.
I wonder of there are still spare parts left for these bass guitars. There is a mute assembly build in the tailpiece and the knop to raise the mute pad is broken.

I hope anyone can help me, I would like to restore the guitar in the origin al state.

Welcome!
You are in the right place. Should be a Moderator along soon to provide access and if it's Miles he may have the parts you need.

The tailpiece mute is going to be a tough one. I'll check around while I'm looking for some other parts later today, but they were only used on the early magnums I and II and I'm not sure if they didn't stop using them on I's and II's before the end of their run.

I am curious, you mention a "knob" and on all of the ones I know of, it's actually a lever. Upon your response I'll open you access so you can post pictures as well, or you could post a link to a picture now so I know exactly what you are looking for.

The orignal looks like this...
