Location: Florida Central Gulf Coast | My eldest daughter and her husband went there for their honeymoon four years ago. They loved it!
The time they weren't 'getting acquainted' was spent on/in the water and sampling the local cuisine.
They said the SCUBA and snorkeling were fantastic. |

Location: Minden, Nebraska | I honeymooned there five years ago in February. We stayed on Ambergris Caye. There are resorts up and down the key and one can visit by a walking trail, bicycle, or golf cart on the one road. Some places can only be accessed by water taxi.
We took excursions to Mayan ruins (well worth the day trip by boat), a day sail with snorkeling on a catamaran, went on a diving/snorkeling excursion, and barely tapped the available activities. We ate well, but mostly cooked our own meals after shopping at the local markets in San Pedro. We considered it fabulous trip, but it was our honeymoon, too.
We'd go back, but have opted for other destinations to get acquainted with the Caribbean.
By the way, I had hit 50 but had married a younger woman. But she's turned that corner, too. |

Location: Midwest | Belize has the largest natural reef next to the great barrier in Australia, hence the snorkeling and scuba (or snuba). The Maya ruins are breath taking. The majority of the country is dirt poor. I've been there several times on cruise excursions. |

Location: Madison, Wisconsin | I was there 30 years ago so not much help but the reefs were spectacular. I just got back from Negril and was really disapointed in the coral there, as compared to what I had seen in Belize. |
