Location: Denver, CO | In a week or so I'll be ready to pull the trigger on an Elite, maybe this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ovation-Standard-Elite-LX-Guitar-/160936446...
Couple or three questions: This is a 6778LX, which my list says was made from '95-'99, but the serial number is 580495, which my list says was 2004. What am I missing?
I would love to keep it in the family, though, if someone from the OFC has one they'd like to sell. Looking to spend $500-600, prefer a 1778, 6718, or 6778, not picky about color just NOT BLACK! Prefer something like honey burst or cherry burst...
Anyone? | |

I am not positive, but I think that the 6778LX was made from 2003 to 2007.
The 6778 that you are looking at is the original version.
The 6778LX is a nice guitar. I have one.
I used to own one that was from 2004, the one that I have is from 2007.
The LX bracing sounds nice.

"recently upgraded to a Martin.............."
depending on the Martin model, that is surely a matter of opinion!

Location: Denver, CO | Thanks, OMA. If I don't hear from anyone here, who wants to sell one, I think I'll make an offer on that one. Gotta ship the tele first, make sure it arrives safe and sound, and the buyer is happy.
Funny, Stephen, and you're right. I didn't post "Upgrading to an Ovation" on my Telecaster sale.
