Location: Jet City | There's a guy selling one here locally. Asking for offers and I think I'm interested.
First, anyone have some feedback for me on this thing? I haven't had the pleasure of playing one, but they intrigue me.
Second, any ideas on what a fair offer would be for this thing? It's a black one, going to check it out in a bit here. I don't want to try to cheat the guy out of anything, but I don't want to spend way more than I should either.
Opinions are greatly appreciated.

Any idea on what they're going for? |

Location: Jet City | LAME! Dude never called, then I got a note saying, "Hi Damon. The roommate came up with cash he owed me, so the viper is staying here. Thanks, Dan"
Dude posted it locally to scare this guy into coming up with $ he owed.

Location: Tennessee | Damon, keep on the lookout for one. Given your stable, I think you'd really connect with the EA68. I was playing mine yesterday and telling myself what a great guitar it is to play ... but remember, you really need an acoustic amp or other sound reinforcement to appreciate it. If you watch and are patient, you can probably snag one from eBay for about $600-700 in good shape. Next time your in the Bay Area, get a hold of me and come on over and check mine out. |

Location: Jet City | Thanks Bobbo. I kind of thought the same thing, it seemed to me that it would be like playing an electric but getting an acoustic sound (through amp, or for recording). I was thinking more on the recording side, but I'll bet it would sound good plugged into my AC60 too.
Next time I'm coming down, I'll touch base with you first.
Don't have anything planned yet, just a trip to Phoenix on the calendar. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | Damon, I have both six and 12 string models and love them both. The six is a regular with the band and is one of my top five or six favorite guitars. It is very versatile and comfortable. As someone mentioned, they are probably underappreciated except by those who own them. GC continues to use one in his performances. The overseas CV models are priced at maybe half of what the US made EA Vipers run. Black ones are the most reasonably priced. |

Location: Nîmes, south of France | Damon, i love Viper's, they truely are GREAT guitars. As Noah and ProfBB wrote, they are under-evaluated... and i don't find any reason for this. Some months ago, i was lucky enough to buy Miles proto EA63 (2" width at nut) and EA68-7LTD.
If you want one, don't hesitate and buy it, you won't be wrong.
I play both through an AER Alpha 40W amp and the sound is amazing.
If you are interested, i can send you some pics and mp3 files of both EA63 and EA68.
Don't hesitate to PM me. |
