Location: Ohio | Just a heads up. I don't know who the seller is but he is using at least one picture of my guitars in each of those listings. Those 3 Flames on the wall together are mine. I posted the pics here a year or two ago and he must have lifted them. I don't know why he's using pics of my guitars in his auction but it definitely raises questions. Especially since all three are still here in my possession. |

How about the single pictures? It is difficult to tell but the orange flame appears to be the same guitar. Though the flame pattern is very consistent across the 3 different colors so maybe it is not possible to tell by the flame pattern alone.

Location: Utah | I am interested in one of those guitars but for now I am very cautious. The backgrounds and style of all the pictures are different, not the way I would have taken pictures of my collection if I were taking pictures at the same time. Anybody have contact with this seller? |

Location: Ohio | The orange guitar by itself is not mine. Just the 3 pictured on the wall side by side. I would be surprised if any of those pictures were actually his at this point though. My main question is, if you own the guitars and they are in pristine condition as you say they are, why use pictures of someone elses guitars to sell them. |

Is there any rule against using someone else's photo? Ebay uses stock photos all the time. He never explicitly states the the guitars pictured are the ones being auctioned. If you are sure it's a violation, tell me and I'll report him.

Location: Latitude 39.56819, Longitude -105.080066 | Well, I would certainly consider it a deceptive sales practice to offer something up for sell but not show pics of the actual item.
I have seen this done before where they wii have a disclaimer stating that the photo does not represent the actual item. I have also seen eBay remove listings where the seller was offering up an item with misleading photos of an item which they did not own (such as the guitar photos).
Why do you suppose that someone would post photos of a guitar they do not own while trying to sell? |

Just my personal philosophy but I have never been burned by an online equipment purchase.

"You are using pictures of my guitars in your auction. It don't really mind that you are using them, but I think it is a little misleading. Please include a disclaimer stating that the guitars in the photos are not actually your guitars otherwise I will have to report you to ebay.
Thanks
Aaron"
Let's see how he responds

Good idea. I just requested some photos of the one I am interested in. |

Still has the tags on in the EBay pic just like the store pic. They are closed today so no idea if the item is still for sale at the store, but the website says its still for sale. |

He just turned it 90 degrees once for the second pic.
The Snakeskin came from HERE
The Red GCXT on the Red Blanket is Damon's pic.
The pic in the case is MINE from Damon's thread
Along with having EVH playing it, he claims that it is #45/200 with a serial number of 606534... (2006)
My GCXT is 117/200 and was made in 2004 with a 582xxx serial number.
All of those details sound good. But they are wrong. As is the description of what a GCXT is.
Apparently all those photos were found by reading OFC Threads.
Just saying.... DON'T BUY IT!

Location: NH | I received no resonse from him either. I even asked if I could pick them up to avoid unnecessary handling from shipping as well as shipping charges, should I win any of the auctions. It's confusing why someone wouldn't post original pictures, especially with guitars like those. Who knows, maybe he doesn't own a camera.

Gotta be a scam.
Is there any other way to notify ebay? The form I found doesn't allow for giving any info other than selecting a preset option of suspected fraud. |
