I was PM'ed by a fellow Ovationer when he saw this post. Brad wanted to share...

I stumbled across this forum and saw your thread, clicked on the link and saw the "one off" guitar. Guess what? I bought one in New Braunfels, TX in the mid 90s and had it for a few years. I'm wondering if it was a custom and I didn't know it or if the guy is mistaken about it and there's more than one. Too bad I don't have the serial # for the one in my photo! Here's a link to me rockin' a mullet and holding the guitar in Indiana in about 1997-98. You can post this e-mail and photo in your thread if you want to.

Maybe on the back of the headstock, there is a stamp ... 1/2, although it doesnt appear to be the same guitar...different type of "scales", as well as placement...although its a little wierd how there is a darker stripe on both of them at mid bridge...

i have never seen that finish on a round hole.

There were a few around in different finish types. Even a nylon string. Try using the SEARCH button ...

There were a bunch of Celebrities made in Korea with the snakeskin finishes. That's what first couple up top are and they are different from the t-bolt designs. The Thunderbolts had hand painted finishes, and all of them have the artist's signature somewhere on the top. The nylon slot head looks to be the same as the US t-bolts, and I believe the blue-colored ones are called dragon skin, while the black themed ones were snake skin.
