Up for sale is 1988 Ovation Collectors' series, very rare and expensive.
comes with original case.
guitar is in very good condition. The only thing you need to do is probably change a new set of string.

Location: Orlando, FL | I love these guitars. If you're an electric player, you have to love the 16 frets to the body and the fully accessible 24 fret neck! I would love to grab one someday. This one looks nice and clean!

Let's just say I'm keeping an eye on it.

Location: Colorado | Probably one of my favorite looking Ovations and I like the shallow bowls anyway (a little more comfortable for me). Citadel Music in Colorado Springs had one of these new back in the day. It hung on the wall at the front of the store for quite a while and I lusted after it every time I saw it.
I still wouldn't mind getting a 1988-P. This one looks to be in great condition, but I'll have to pass. |

Thanks Muzza. That's very helpful.
But I was thinking about a few days from now, about when the auction finishes.

I'm curious to know how much it will go for too. |

| One sold at SamAsh music for $799
http://used.samashmusic.com/item.php?id=959
Not sure WHEN that was.
Guitar Museum had one listed for $1100 which sold, but I don't know what price they got. March of 2011
http://www.guitar-museum.com/guitar-67548-OVATION-COLLECTORS-SERIES...
They had one in 2009 that sold for about $405, it looks like.
I think it's going to be hard to say how much it will go for. If two buyers really want it, they could push the price up. If not, it's probably not everyone's cup of tea and it could go for a good price.

From the bay:
Cancelled: AU $300.00
Explanation:The seller ended the listing early and cancelled all bids.
Bummer! Oh well I didn't really need it anyway.

Location: Atlanta | The guitar price guide shows roughly $500 for excellent condition (but it also says "some models are worth more", kinda useless). |

It's a bit academic now, seeing it was cancelled.
But I'll continue to keep my eye open for anything interesting.
Thanks again.
Cheers, Banjo
