I've got a w591. It's the same as a w597 w/ a center soundhole. Any preferences on capos? I know neck sizes and shapes vary. Should this be a consideration for the best capo for a given guitar?

I don't think there is anything specific about a w591 neck or any other for that matter. Any good quality capo should do the job. Folks around here seem to like Kyser, G7, Shubb, etc.

I think the most recent time this was discussed of many times, the Shubb seemed to get the most votes.

I like the "Picker's Pal". It isn't as simple to use as the trigger capo's, but it has four different sides that you can use on the fretboard. One is a shallow radius, one is a thicker radius, then you have a thick and a thin straight side. I think one of the reasons Ovations are so easy to play is the radius, and the picker's pal covers evrything, without having to re-tune.

Only way to know what you like is to try a bunch. I like shubbs. Especially since I can find them cheap.

A Shubb, Planet Waves NS or G7. I also would look at a Paige except they don't work well on a 12 string.

Shubb or Keyser. The G7 works real well, but it's heavy.....

I have a Shubb, several Keysers, a number of other goofy types picked over the years, and the one I prefer and have been using for 20 years? Victor.

Kysers on the 6's.

G7 on the LongNeck (it matches the hardware).

Shubb 12-string capo on all of the 12's.

Not a single word on the Dunlop trigger. I kind of like mine. Am I out in left field? Overall however, I think I prefer my Keyser, especially on my 510.

I like to use a Shubb at home and because I can clip it on the headstock, a Kyser if I'm playing out somewhere.

G7 look like they were designed by Porsche.
I never use capos but I've got 3 G7s - standard, 12 string and classical. They are the coolest looking capos ever.
Obviously my opinion counts for nothing, but you'll never look cool with 2 tons of mechanical engineering hanging off your guitar neck.
That's like having to use large print books.

Dammit, I have black silver and gold.

Anyone ever notice a difference between a Kyser 6 and 12 string versions? Besides the package of course, I don't see a single difference.

I swear they're the same. I measured and everything.

Unless the store stuck a 6er in the 12er package.
