Guitar World put out it's 300th issue this month. They have half the mag dedicated to past issues and excerpts of past interviews.

At the bottom of each page, they have a tongue in cheek history of the guitar that mixes fact with BS. Things like "1948 - Leo Fender builds the prototype for the guitar that's to become known as the Broadcaster. He changes the name to Telecaster in 1952 after he gets tired of explaining to people that he didn't invent Walter Cronkite". Lame jokes like that.

Anyway, on page 74 they give some backhanded props to Charlie with this, "1966 - Charles Kaman starts the Ovation company, which builds acoustic guitars featuring bowl-shaped fiberglass backs. This is not a joke, honest". More lameness.

There's no such thing as bad publicity, right?

Lame Jokes are befitting, as that's pretty much what the magazine has BECOME in recent years . . .
