This is Sad!

No Drum & Flag or nuthin'... I don't know what can be done for this one.
This is a real Auction, so no BIN. One of y'all BFLG folks might wanna remember to grab this.

Even though there is no BIN, the seller does have this statement in the description:

"If you want me to end it early just send me an offer via "ask seller" and I will end the auction with the right price."

Not a major problem with the finish crack but the absence of the decal is a problem...first of all why? Had to be a previous refinish that removed it.

In addition, without the decal (not replaceable), might as well remove the Patriot label.

Seriously, this had remedial work that removed the decal. Why? Suggest you stay away if you are looking at a Patriot...as an A brace guitar, with a little work on the crack, could be a good player even if not perfect.

See FAQ as to how to fix the finish crack.

I've been in contact with the seller.

First, the good news. I was able to get him to send me some additional info and pics.

He says it's an acoustic-only and that he doesn't know what happened to the drum and flag decal and made no mention about the missing mahogany and abalone TRC.

He also says 'Frets has some play wear but it still has plenty of life left.On the top crack, look like it went thru the wood. But as you can see.The crack is not on where the wood joint(under the bridge). This is easy fix since the top is dead flat(no lift or sink)'

Now, the bad news. He's taking off-line offers for the guitar and he's already received an offer of $140. He said he's hoping to get $200.

Since his auction has no reserve, there's a very good chance that if the winning bid does not meet his own personal 'reserve', he'll likely shut down the auction at the last minute and take the off-line offer leaving the high bidder hanging in the breeze.

I've sent an email asking for clarification as to how he's going to handle this situation. I'll post any response I get back.

Caveat Emptor...

Without further ado, here's the pics.

The seller replied back and said he would let the auction run its course.
