| Geez, guys, you've sure been active in the last week! I go away for a few days of R&R and can hardly keep up with what's gone down around here.

[*]Beal and his SWMBO decide to host a BBQ at AmeliaMatt (nice surprise there, looking forward to it).
[*]A bunch of new members with killer O's and A's join up (welcome to you all!)
[*]AmeliaMatt attendees are sounding more and more like sorority girls planning the big social (sorry - had to get that dig in since Cliff chided the g8rbowl group for the same thing) ;)

Anyway, glad to be back. In answer to slipkid's question about other SWMBO's at AmeliaMatt, mine won't be driving up until Friday, as she has teaching commitments. I'm still coming up Wednesday afternoon for song night & then just gonna hang out Thursday. 'Zilla's SWMBO along with Mrs. g8r and Mrs. Beal have shopping excursions already planned (the price of my having fun!) so I'm sure they'd more than welcome other SWMBO's along.
Since I've got nothing planned Thursday I can serve as a free taxi service for anyone who needs a ride from Jax airport, just let me know. I can also lug a few of you goofballs to the Beal villa for the BBQ.
Side note - I visited about 8 or 9 music shops in my travels these past few days and played a lot of higher-end Martins, Taylors, Taks, and a verry nice Larrivee. Of course O's, too. Every shop I stopped in had at least one US-made O, usually an LX Elite, but most of the O's were Celebs with a smattering of applesauce. Not the most impressive.
Not impressed with the Taylors for the $$, even 'tho they are nice. The Martin HD-28 could have come home with me, especially for the discount the guy was willing to give. But even then I think my Tak sounded and played just as good. The one guitar I was truly impressed with was the Larrivee LV-10. If I'd had the ready cash it would have come home with me. Beautiful, even balanced tone and a dream neck. GAS, but down the road. Still and all, I wouldn't trade my 1537 for any of them. |

| Yep - Spring Break means Mrs. g8r gets a break from teaching, so it's a good time to get the hell outta dodge. Students headed south, we headed north. |
