Location: Detroit area | Hmmm. So, my 05 Collectors has developed a annoying, sitar-like sounding "plink" on the second fret, but only on the high E string. Everywhere else, the fretboard is flawless. This is my "go to" guitar that I use to lead worship @ church. I obviously can't have D and Bm chords going PLINK in front of 1,000 people.
Is this a truss-rod issue, or could it be that the fret wire has developed a bur or something? Not sure where to go for help on this (other than GC, which is totally out of the question). Thanks! |

Location: Maple Shade, NJ. | I noticed this happened to me when I changed from .012 to .010 string gauge, changed back to .012 and no problems. I guess the lighter strings allowed less bow on the neck, So I my guess would be truss rod. |
