Hmmm. So, my 05 Collectors has developed a annoying, sitar-like sounding "plink" on the second fret, but only on the high E string. Everywhere else, the fretboard is flawless. This is my "go to" guitar that I use to lead worship @ church. I obviously can't have D and Bm chords going PLINK in front of 1,000 people.

Is this a truss-rod issue, or could it be that the fret wire has developed a bur or something? Not sure where to go for help on this (other than GC, which is totally out of the question). Thanks!

Check to make sure all of the frets are fully/properly seated.

I noticed this happened to me when I changed from .012 to .010 string gauge, changed back to .012 and no problems. I guess the lighter strings allowed less bow on the neck, So I my guess would be truss rod.
