Location: Northwest Arkansas | I just put a VIP-5 preamp in a GC 28 Celebrity. I love the way this guitar sounds. The birds-eye maple is nice too. I pulled the shims and tweaked the neck. Put the new preamp in it and a new set of strings. I ran it stereo into two 30-watt Crate amps and it sounds great. I put custom light strings on it, so it plays really sweet. Now for a gig. It sounds a whole lot different than the OP-20 did. LOL! It's always nice to buy a guitar for 1/5th of what it cost and then set it up better than it was new. I also put a John Pearse armrest on it. I totally endorse them. I run it through a stereo chorus. If you're wondering how I ran it stereo.
