Not mine- It is on CL (Dorchester, MA). Pictures are not clear and hard to see, but it is a lefty.

Not sure it is a lefty. If it is, the Ovation Logo was written in Chinese.
How do you lose the manhole cover?

It's not a lefty, have a look at the pics, they are mirror inverted.
I'm not sure, but I think this one was posted about two years ago. I remember the loosing manhole cover....

...Looks to be in good shape, by the limited pictures. If so, that's about the going price for a decent one.

I don't know how he can state how good the guitar sounds w/o the hatch cover. When I have mine off, the guitar sounds like crap.

Also, I think it's been re-bodied somewhere in the past. The binding doesn't look right on it and the top and epaulets haven't aged much. That would be very unusual on a 30 year old guitar

...Yeah, you're right about the binding. It DOES look pretty light in the photos for being walnut. It's difficult to really make a good determination without good photos. As far as the sound and missing access cover... If it sounds great with the cover missing (as he states) it may sound phenominal with the cover replacd. Just food for thought. I'm sure if someone were to purchase the guitar and contact the mothership, a replacment cover would be easy to obtain. I'm extremely happy with mine, but if I WERE looking for one, I would definitely expect the guy to come down on the price with the missing cover.
