| Hi Everyone, so I just recently inherited an Ovation Applause AE-128 and would like to know the year it was made, only thing is, it has a 7 digit serial number that I can't seem to find a way to decode. The serial number is 4731718 if anyone can help me out, much appreciated. |

Location: Jet City | I don't know of any way to date an Applause or Celebrity, but there may be someone who does.

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | Because the Applause and Celebrity serial numbers only mean something to the store where the guitar was purchased for warranty purposes, there is no apparent rhyme or reason to the serial numbers of those models associating them to any year or anything else. |
