serial #'s

Wow, how things have changed. Long ago there was a place where you could register your serial #'s. Does it still exist? I tried doin a search, but couldn't find it. I need to find the serial # from one of my guitars that I registered. It seems to have mysteriously vanished. Any help would be appreciated.
