I picked up the May '12 Gear Guide at Sam Ash last week. When I got home, I noticed on page 23 there was a whole page stating "May is Martin Month" etc, and "Bring in an old set from restringing and get a Free Set of Martin SP Lifespan Strings".

Stopped in today and got a free set of .012 - .054 Phosphor Bronze Strings. No one knew about it, and they had to get the Manager, who did not know either of course. Showed him the Promo Page, handed him a used set, and he said "Cool, let me get you a set".

They usually mail these flyers like Guitar Ctr, but must be cutting back. Anyway, when you walk in, the flyers are everywhere. I am sure there are limited quantities, but since there was no mailing, and it is just the 2nd of May?

ANY old set? As in an old D'addario set, and they give you a free Martin set?

Any ol' set will do - no matter what. I think mine were Ernie Ball Slinky - Acoustics. The SPs are made by Cleartone, and ain't cheap. I would not wait too long. Surely the deal won't go on all month, and SMASH will put the Kabash on the giveaway.
