Hi all,

I bought my Breadwinner (Tan, serial number on the neck plate #882) in 1976. I found it in a guitar shop and it had been very unfortunately modified by someone who had no idea what they had. The original Ovation neck pickup had been taken out replaced with a cheap humbuck.

The guitar was still fantastic and I have it and play it to this day.

Here's what I'd like some help with -- I would like to restore this instrument. I want to find a replacement Pre-amp board, the two pots, and a replacement neck pickup. The original pickups on this instrument are the ones with the rectangular pickup-pads and round pickup screws, seen on 1251 types.

If anyone out there can help me find these parts I would appreciate it. The serial number makes this a pretty early model and I'd love to put it back to it's original condition.

Thanks so much,
Howard

I have pickups (which will work by the way without the preamp) but finding a pre-amp is gonna be tough.

I'll upgrade your membership so you can post in the general forums and move this thread there as well.
