Location: New Jersey | I agree, I have been on both sides of that situation. I consider Parker guitars very similar to Ovations in that they are both excellent guitars which for whatever reason are much maligned by the "general" guitar playing public. One difference is that it seems Ovations hold their value a bit better than Parker's. I hope this guy gets his asking price if it's a fair price, and it seems that a 3k guitar for 2k is a fair price. I'm not as knowledgeable with O's as I am with Parker's, but it seems to me a nice guitar; definitely has the cool vibe going. |

Location: sitting at my computer | Apparently flames weren't in vogue last week. Didn't reach whatever his reserve price was. 23 bids and only $355 offered... bidders must've just been blowin' smoke. IMHO I don't recall ever seeing any Os with painted bowls before. Would that have done special order only... a limited edition... or just factory whim? |

I believe the painted bowl flame models are more rare than those with just the painted body top and headstock models. The painted bowl models also have the upgraded preamp. I know two other members with painted bowl models in addition to myself. |
