Location: New Jersey | Well my 2007 BCS arrived today. I'm simply blown away- it is gorgeous. I got home late tonight so I only spent about 20 minutes noodling. First impressions on the VIP -I like the different settings- I can see how I may wind up only using a couple more than others. The "bottom" on this is fantastic- so rich and full. Here are a couple of pics that I got from GC before they sent it out. I'll take some better ones over the weekend.

Location: New Jersey | Thanks for the compliments; I know there's usually a noticeable difference in quality when you go from an import to a US made guitar (I did say usually) and that happened to me before when I went from an import Parker p36 to my NiteFly and then my Classic Fly. But It's just such a cool feeling - my Korean O is really nice, plays great and looks good- but this BCS is just a joy to play; heck it's a joy to just sit and look at it! |

Location: New Jersey | Last night I was playing it for a good period of time- it started to cut out on me intermittently. If I would unplug it and plug it back in, it would be fine for a minute or two then cut out again. Today I replaced the battery and everything seems to be fine. I did a search and found someone with a similar issue- in his case it turned out that the pre-amp was fine but the "can" was bad. Hopefully everything will remain fine- but out of curiosity, what would a replacement can cost? and is that a Mother Ship only repair? |

Location: New Jersey | Damn-it just cut out again. The only way I can get it back is to unplug the cable and plug it back in again. I have a call in to Ovation; hopefully it's an easy fix. |

Location: New Jersey | Not really Fly - the good news is the 30 day warranty includes Guitar Center fixing the issue-whatever it is. So I'm dropping it off next week. Yeah M, that's true-even if GC wasn't going to fix it-I couldn't return it- it's too sweet. But finding out it's covered is even sweeter. |
