I have a super shallow bowl legend which the acton was too high. i tightened the neck adjustment about an eighth of a turn and the action lowered nicely, and surprisingly, it seem to add more bass frequency, which helps with a super shallow bowl. it now sounds as good as my deep bowl and dare i say, my Martin. How fortuitous indeed!

It is plausible that lowering the nut in relation to the top by taking relief out of the neck improved the "break-angle" over the bridge and put a little more down force on the top....

Or, more likely, what Beal said. When it's comfortable to play, you play with more conviction and of course it sounds better.

Could someone explain how to make neck adjustments, or send me in the right direction?
Thanks.
