I practiced the music we will be doing for Sunrise Service on Easter. Decided a 6 string wasn't going to cut it. Got to be a 12 string. The temperature is going to be 35-40 degrees so I'm not going to use my 1758. I could use my Martin but did not want any tuning issues. What to do.

I went to the closet and pulled out my 1972 Pacemaker,(1115), and man after a year in the case and 2 year old strings it was IN TUNE and sounded like a cannon when I played it. I had forgotten how great that guitar really is.

Needless to say it will be a while before it goes back in the closet. I'll be off to the Music Outlet for a set of strings and remind my self of the joys of stringing a 12 string slothead. I might even post a picture tomorrow if it will stop raining.

I love my 1615! It's a boomer.

I've owned a 1115-1 and a 1615-4

Both were '81's

They're both "gone but not forgotten"......wish I had another, they sound full and rich!

My current 12 string Legend (1866-4) shallow bowl sounds O.K. but it doesn't ring with that harpsichord sound of the Pacemakers....

Great guitars, and usually a bargain can be found on one of these.

I'll be playing my '79 1115 at our Sonrise Service. Being as far north of Sevierville as we are...we will be playing indoors.
