Yeah, but for things like, "Does the price include shipping?" and "Is a check alright or would you prefer a money order?", it would save time and besides, if everyone watches, what are a few questions between friends? |

Location: SoCal | @Miles... it appears to be a Firewall issue (Mac).
Turn off the firewall, restart Safari, Chat comes up.
Restart the firewall, Chat still comes up... no one else is in Chat, I assume Chat would work.
If I restart Safari with the Firewall on, I get that blank window again.
Watching the process/connection stream, nothing stands out as getting blocked.
Any ideas? |

Location: SoCal | fillhixx, Safari... never really thought about it. I have no complaints. It's part of the turnkey package that came on this Mac.
So why do you use FireFox on your MacBook, when Safari comes as part of the seamless package. |

I liked the chat but it's actually harder to build good conversation in 'real' time than it is in forums like this. Cool to 'talk' to you, D67, yesterday. made the day in Miles&Lisas Backyard come right back, and chatting with Numby about the weather... But still, this format allows more complete thoughts and time to rethink them IMO.
Tho' a private room for final negotiating on sales sound like a cool feature.

...and, of course, not everyone is a 'touch' typist or has a WPM that can keep up to conversation...

I am a member of another site that shows WHO is in chat. That is very handy. I don't want to go into chat and the only one in there is Weaser. That would just be very awkward...
Sorry but too much overhead and no place to display the names without over-cluttering an already overly cluttered page. I just put it up for those that want to use it.

Location: California | I think it is a good fun communication tool that is available to us. There is the option even you can create your own chat room. Moderators or any OFC member could schedule live chat rooms, let's say once or twice a year with artists playing ovation/adamas for a 30 minute chatting time. I think then there will more members that will want to go into chat besides Weaser. The ovation website has videos likns about players/artists but I don't think they have live chats. |
