Upgrading pickup on 1981 12 string Celebrity

ariros Posted 2012-03-12 6:17 PM (#451815) Subject: Upgrading pickup on 1981 12 string Celebrity Joined: March 2012 Posts: 2 So i bought a 12 string Celebrity CC65 on craiglist yesterday and im absolutely loving it but when i plug in its really quiet... Is this because its an old pickup? Is it because it has no preamp? I dont know what the problem is. If anyone has any suggestions that would be awesome. I'm not familiar with that exact model ... are you saying there is no preamp? I can't quite tell from the pictures where it is exactly, but look for a battery box and put a new 9v in there. Hopefully that will solve the issue.
