Location: Fort Worth, TX | Fox news will be doing an extensive interview with GC tonight, hosted by Shepard Smith. Check local listings for time - it's at 9pm here. Hopefully, we'll get to see him demonstrate how an O is to be played. |

Location: SoCal | Al, you know I am a friend and a good customer.
However, I used to get calls from Brian Williams..."how is my favorite Marine" - course that was before Rick Kaplan was there (former CEO of CNN, removed due to false info concerning Laos and Cambodia-now at CBS). At that time, Brian appeared to be a little more humble than recent. Brian was a volunteer fireman, felt that he was just a 'reader' of news. Now, taking over for Brokow and getting the big bucks...doubt if I would take the call as much of the content is written by Media Matters - an extremely liberal source.
So please continue to monitor "no politics" but also avoid your comments concerning networks and cable news...they all have problems and MSNBC and CNN have "reporters" that are so biased that when other channels criticize Fox they make merely show that they have been 'bought' (i.e., want an interview with the President or senior official, read the script). How about Chris Mathews and his comments about the tingle up his leg. I asked Chris about his comment...
Hopefully, we do not have to omit our sources to avoid antagonizing you or the "old guard" - we should all be careful as to any political statements.
We all have our obligation to make our own decision concerning 'news' or who we support with our vote. A good example is the pre-op and operations in Libya. I get about 120 situation reports a day and what we saw and heard on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX was far from the truth as provided by Hillary and Obama. I will state that Fox did a better job as to accuracy than the others.
As to politics, enough said...all I ask is that you verify what you have heard and vote...no 'undecided', research, seek substantiation, make an informed personal decision when voting. I have little respect for a non-voter or 'undecided'. Whether I agree with an individual, I have a lot of respect for a voter that researched the issues and made a decision as to who best to represent him/her.
For all members, unless we have a 'rant' category, we need to respect that some members may be uniformed idiots that are just not as knowlegeable as we are :} (when I had a mustache)

fox news...
I did not give an opinion, I did not talk about rupert murdock, I did not compare it to any other news agency, etc.that was done by yourself and several others here.
I know you are a good friend and customer. but this is exactly the reason we need to steer clear of politics here.
fox news is a buzz word, much like msnbc, cnn, abc, nbc, etc etc etc. I would prefer not to see any buzz words. |

Shouldn't have done that. I don't read Krell's post that completely, as opposed to yours, which I do.... |

I love the Onion. For some reason, it quit working on my iPod tho. I miss the intellectual content. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Ironic that we were visiting the inlaws Saturday, who leave Fox News on all the time, and never saw anything about the interview of Glen. We picked them up to take them to Glen's concert Saturday night. They don't have any way to record a TV program or I'd have done it if we'd known about it ahead of time. If SWMBO hadn't found out about the concert, we probably would have been sitting in their living room watching the interview and kicking ourselves for not getting tickets to the concert. |
