Dave Mason.... We Just Disagree
Talking about Dave Mason in the other thread brought this to mind. This could be a real good one for Brian & I.
Anyone already play it and have any tips?
And BTW.. there is an O being played in the video.

That would be a good one for the Ute, Brad. A basic open chord song where you can let it ring. Sounds great on a 12 too.

Help I cant find a video of what I think is Dave Masons greatest song and guitar solo from his album Alone Together. The song name is

Look at you look at me.

If anyone has this clip please post it.
It is one of my favorite guitar solos. The sound of his guitar is Hypnotic like a Pink Floyd tune when you are wasted. :D GWB :D

Play it in E, and try to keep the first two string open while moving the E and Em forms up and down the neck. I use my thumb a lot on that one.

Brad: He played a Pacemaker 12 string: there was a thread about this same subject several months ago...great song; I used to play it: I think in E: open G works well too.

He played them in open E. I remember seeing him back then. For electric he played a Firebird.
I saw him with Cocker two years ago and he could still sing good, but the guitar solos were mailed in. Cocker should have stayed home.

That's what I thought about that Watchtower clip, Beal. There just wasn't much to love about the guitar solos.
