| FYI, so nobody duplicates (unless they want to) - Guitars in-house:
1619 Custom Legend (should be freshly back from the spa)
1537 Elite
1615 Pacemaker
1987 Collector's
Adamas 2008 Collector's
Adamas 1687 30th Anniversary Reissue
Takamine TNV360
Larrivee LV-09
Larrivee P-09
My requests: 47RI, iffy's 1680, UTE, (no clue what TJ has/will have by then), hell just about anything, they're all good!
Other gear:
Genz-Benz Shen 100
Crate 15W
Digitech Vocalist Live 4
Boss RC-20XL Looper
Zoom MRS-4 Digital Recorder (we really should try to record)
Behringer mixer
3 mic's
Mic preamp
Please bring a music stand if you have one. I have 3 extra guitar stands.
Can't wait! Lady g8r's getting excited about feeding everyone. She lives for that. |

May have 1 or 2 civilians with me but could certainly make room in the Astro for 1 or 2 others depending on accompanying gear volume. Anyone passing close by Marion would be welcome to drop their car at my place and ride with us the rest of the way. This flight would be non smoking but the pilot can be bribed to pull over occasionally. :)

| TWO WEEK BUMP!
Would be nice to get a head count so we can get the appropriate amount of food and beverage - also, any special requests/allergies/etc. if you haven't already told me about them.
Directions from I-75 Exit 389 (SR 222/NW 39th Ave) are here.
Directions from I-75 Exit 387 (SR 26/Newberry Road) are here.
Google makes one mistake with the latter 2 directions - where it says 31st Blvd, it's actually street-signed as 37th Ave (a traffic light).
Directions from I-75 Exit 384 (SR 24/Archer Road) are here.
Coming from any other direction (Beal, I'm talkin' to you) and don't know/don't remember how to get here, email or PM me.
Gonna be fun! |

I have a feeling that I'll be able to establish a new baseline (not bass) by which all others can be 'evaluated'. If that occurs, then TJ et al will certainly rate high.

I imagine TJ & iffy will roll in no later than 9 or 10, DesignZilla around the same time. |

BTW, welcome to the 'O' Hive Mind! Or should that be a re-welcome? probably none... unless she's not out of CICU yet..
I still have to go to the city manager's office tomorrow, after my meeting today with the councilman and the fire marshall.. and still to the courthouse to file against them for their recent actions and illegal service and full violation of about every FL landlord/tenant statute on the books...
I may also be filing harassment charges with the Sheriff in Bonner County, or at least have them do a code and safety inspection on the homestead... which is just slightly illegal as they are homesteaded here as well...oops.. and not maintaining minimum tenancy here or even close... among many other nasties they have been pulling, which may get him more than a little "time away" but they are pretty close to the Canadian border, He and the wife may just head north real quick. he owns about 2 mil worth of properties... most rentals... and doesn't get it when it comes to following the laws and requirements and a landlord. and has been just thumbing his nose for a looooooong time.
thanks for the welcome.... back... loading the car tomorrow, then up to Gainesville on Tues.
Char's surgery is first scheduled Wednesday morning.

As I said before, Char and you are still in my prayers. Best of luck to both of ya'll this week! |

Yepper. Not enough cholesterol and no juices running down the arms!

Now, on another note, what's everybody bringing? I know Johnny is bringing the 1680 and whatever else, I'm bringing the Josh or the Balladeer RI, and Beal's bringing his guitar of the day + the Baritone 2080. I'm sure Jas is bringing his new Adamas, any more? |

Plan on taking off sometime Friday afternoon. Still working out some logistics as Kathy will be coming with me and I won't leave Chase with just anybody. :)
Plan to be there sometime Friday evening anyway. Gits are undecided yet. Maybe the 1687s, (the -9 is just back from Mom's), probably the 1885, and definitely an ugly duckling that just arrived this afternoon and which I have been working on tonight.

I've got extra stands G8r and I'll throw the Peavey Escort in the truck for back-up, too.
Can't wait to see everyone!

the 2771-lx-4 belongs to AJ, and Beal has agreed to take it back down to Amelia along with the Book(That I am hoping that you will all sign for him) and will give him the guitar, book, and Posters for him, which are a vintage Ovation solid body poster, and a Mattingly pen and ink which show a dragon playing a Hagstrom, puffing on a roll your own, and having a grand time at it.
I gave Serge about 20 or so OFC Blue/thick picks, and about 12 Adamas graphite picks, and one Gator graphite pick for Serge. If anyone in attendance wants one...please feel free to take one.
I also gave him an old Fostex mutitrack recording unit(cassette) in working condition,
and if anyone in attendance at G8rBowlII, would like to have it, you may have it free of charge as it was donated to help with my wife's medical expenses by another OFC member here in FL, but no-one was interested in it.
The vipertron was sent over by Slydog, and is an example of what can be done with NOS parts from Miles, some nitrocellulose lacquer as a finish, and a little help from Howie and his guitar techs/luthiers....and is available for sale as well..Al's about to lose his home... and could use some extra cash right now....if he loses his home, he will be moving in with me and Charlotte.
all other items listed as in my trunk are still there, and if anyone in attendance is interested in any of that gear...please feel free to contact me... 321-506-2280 and I will be more than happy to bring them over to Casa G8r for your testing, inspection, and evaluation...
if I am upstairs with Char, on telemetry floors my phone will not receive, so please leave a message.
Best Regards, and have fun all!
and again, Thank You ALL!! for the prayers and good thoughts for my wife!

the 2771-lx-4 belongs to AJ, and Beal has agreed to take it back down to Amelia along with the Book(That I am hoping that you will all sign for him) and will give him the guitar, book, and Posters for him, which are a vintage Ovation solid body poster, and a Mattingly pen and ink which show a dragon playing a Hagstrom, puffing on a roll your own, and having a grand time at it.
I gave Serge about 20 or so OFC Blue/thick picks, and about 12 Adamas graphite picks, and one Gator graphite pick for Serge. If anyone in attendance wants one...please feel free to take one.
I also gave him an old Fostex mutitrack recording unit(cassette) in working condition,

| just got back from G8rs, Bill was just leaving and they had just put all of the cheap woodboxes away.. ;) , just kidding...
it was nice to finally put some faces, and shake some hands of the people and friends that I've met here.
I promised Char that I would be back by midnight, and I made it and was a good boy and stayed away from the evil spirits... I took some cell phone pictures... we sang Blue Bayou, Boy Named Sue, aint no sunshine, and a few others..
Thanks very much to Sergio, and his lovely wife and children for hosting this gathering, and to all there for welcoming me, and making me feel at ease. your concern and care for my wife's condition and prayers and good thoughts for her speedy recovery were and are very much appreciated.
Thank you all, it was a nice break from the Hospital.

(But I still want to know how the grits turned out.) |

| New thread started in the Fan Gatherings section, with a couple of pictures. Many more pics to follow from the attendees when they get home.
A huge thank you to everyone who came. We had BIG fun! Now for some sleep, since we were up playing from Friday evening until Saturday morning around 4:30, up again around nine, then nearly nonstop playing (except for food breaks) until 2:30 this morning.
A very special thank you to lady G8r, the love of my life, for all she did to keep everyone well fed, well watered, and happy.

I had a great time. Played a whole bunch of great guitars and got to jam with a bunch of talented (and modest) people.
It was great to see a bunch of old OFC buddies again and meet a bunch more. Thanks to everybody who came, it was great jammin with ya! |

A great big thanks to the G8r's for a great time and hospitality, not to mention Jhimli's cooking! Serge, how do you stay so slim?? Thanks to Beal for all the stories and those weird chords he seems to always come up with, to Steve De banjo for the great lessons and show he put on, (ever hear lead played on a banjo?) and to all the rest for just being there for the great time we all had. If anyone ever gets a remote chance to attend a get together from the OFC, don't hesitate a bit. You will be sorry if you don't make it. |

Friday:
Tangy Chicken Curry, guitars 'til 4am
Saturday:
Shrimp and grits, sausage and pasta, guitars 'til 2am
Sunday:
French toast and pork BBQ
The shrimp & grits stands out as possibly my favorite thing ever. Thanks to the g8rs. And it was a pleasure to meet DeBanjo and our new friend Cathy. |

I think he had been a bit depressed that the jam was over. But that call really lifted his spirits. You want to talk about a sick puppy, I meant SICK!!! |

Had us a LARGE TIME at GatorBowl 2. Hospitality at the g8r household is unmatched anywhere and the eats were fantastic! Hats off to Lady g8r for some incredible cuisine.
Jamming was the best ever and went into ridiculous hours both nights. :D
Man it’s hard to quit when you're having that much fun!
Thanks g8r for a perfect weekend and thanks to all of my OFC buddies for again reinforcing what I already know to be true. The fact that I am incredibly blessed with some amazing friends.
Hoping everyone else is home safe and sound or close to it by now.

The paradox of the OFC - most of us here are slower than most. |

A great BIG THANK YOU to Serge and Jhimli for hosting this event and putting up with all of us!
Your hospitality is endless.
Jhimli's meals were superb!
Great to meet Steve (debanjo) he's a SUPER picker and a great storyteller, and Cathy (Otto's LOHL) a lovely lady and a real trooper....she hung in there till the wee hours each night with all us wild-eyed guitar nuts....... ;) I hope they both had a good time and become regular attendees.
THANKS to Keith (WarEagle) for his wonderful original songs and for doin' the drivin' for us SC boyz!
Great to see everyone else too!....I'm proud to call y'all friend!
Lastly........Thanks to everyone for enduring my ear shatterin', eyes bleedin', (stomach turning? ) attempts at singin'.....hope y'all have a quick recovery!

I got 2 questions. First, who brought the Guild? Beautiful guitar. Second, what did everybody think of the K1111 reissue? I think those are absolutely killer guitars! |
